MFA Portfolio Candidates

I have put together 2 posts of the paintings that I am considering submiting with my MFA applications. I'm hoping for some suggestions and help deciding which paintings to use and maybe the order to put them in. Just for information, I am submiting applications to Columbia which requires 15 pieces, SVA which requires 12, and Brooklyn College which doesn't put a number on it...I would submit at least 12. Thanks for the advice friends.

All of the paintings in this post were completed in the last year...

Painting Marathon

Here are a few more pieces that I have been working on. I am not sure if they are completely finished. I feel like I have been painting for two years straight-with a few minor interruptions-since I graduated. But I look at everything and am really confused about what I have been doing.

I Guess I'm Painting Hair...

...or just making paintings that are inspired by hair. I have enjoyed myself while looking for the directional lines and shapes that make up different hair shapes and styles.
So, after a month without posting a painting, I am finally pleased enough with something that I will share.

About Me

Brooklyn, NY
I am a artist living in Brooklyn and currently an artist-in-residence with Chashama at the Brooklyn Army Terminal. I have been working in encaustic for the past few years, but am usually trying out a couple of different art making media at once. Peter Everett once called my work kitch, but I don't think it bothers me.
