Art Party 3 Photos

Last night Art Party 3 opened in Williamsburg. It was a good time and a fun show. Here are a few shots:

These are my pieces.

Here's Bekah's (Mike long time HS friend).

And a couple of artists I enjoyed.

Art Party

I've got pink eye, Mike started a new job (I mean how many jobs can one person have), and Pierson is potty training...but the most exciting thing of all is ArtParty#3.

June Drawings

For the moment the BAT Studios are off limits, so I am stuck with paper and various drawing instruments. I have tried not to slack off making art, so here's a little something to look at.

Earlier this year I was making paintings of hair (mostly women's up-dos and fanciness). But I always wanted to do paintings of plain old haircuts. I like receding hairlines, so this was my attempt at that.

Maybe it's totally low-brow...

but those high-brow loosers haven't done much for me lately. I opened a little etsy shop. It seriously just started tonight, so there are only a few items listed, but more will be added in the next couple of days. Pass on the excitement.

2 Braids on Paper

While I'm working on building some panels to get a few paintings started, I am still drawing. Hopefully I can get a good translation into my paintings.

BAT Studio

Last summer I applied for a residency through Chashama at the Brooklyn Army Terminal. After way too long, I am finally in! I went from painting in a 4 square foot corner of the living room to a space at least the size of my living room.

A view from the windows.

About Me

Brooklyn, NY
I am a artist living in Brooklyn and currently an artist-in-residence with Chashama at the Brooklyn Army Terminal. I have been working in encaustic for the past few years, but am usually trying out a couple of different art making media at once. Peter Everett once called my work kitch, but I don't think it bothers me.
