Well, I am still totally waiting to hear from Columbia's MFA program. I have this scenario in my head that they have my portfolio on their desk and they are arguing over whether I am good enough or not. In reality, they probably lost everything and I'll be waiting for years.
In the meantime I have been going to the park every day and drawing while Pierson climbs everything he can find.
My paintings and drawings and once in a while a work that I like.

Summer of Drawing
The weather has finally turned, my bicycle is ready, and while waiting to hear from one last school, I decided I need something to keep me from falling into the abyss.
I have always loved drawing and my paintings always have tons of drawing-like qualities.
Drawing definitely has some perks; like you can do it anywhere, you don't need a lot of materials, it is fun, and I can do it with a 2-year-old (although he sometimes takes a few liberties with my drawings).
PS. The first and awesomest of the drawings is actually Pierson's...the 2-year-old.

About Me
- KRISTIN
- Brooklyn, NY
- I am a artist living in Brooklyn and currently an artist-in-residence with Chashama at the Brooklyn Army Terminal. I have been working in encaustic for the past few years, but am usually trying out a couple of different art making media at once. Peter Everett once called my work kitch, but I don't think it bothers me.
