Dear Dubuffet

Sabletooth Paper

I found this Sabletooth paper at Pearl earlier this month. I thought it was nice that the paper is primed and takes wax so evenly. This little diddy is really nothing, just trying out the paint on some new paper.

A Few Older New Paintings

New Painting

I finished this painting last weekend. I have been trying to work smaller because of a cramped apartment so this piece is 12 by 12 inches. I took the picture myself so its not the best quality.
Has anyone heard a good joke lately? Since moving away from my grandpa in Las Vegas about 8 years ago I don't get to hear many jokes.

Something's Fishy

This painting came about as I was waiting to become a mother. I think the painting demonstrates more about the situation now than it did when I was working on it. I turned into a fish, always swimming and unable to hold my life in place and realize what is really going on. Everything s become slippery

If you want to view it in real life, it's at Terzian Gallery in Park City, Utah.

About Me

Brooklyn, NY
I am a artist living in Brooklyn and currently an artist-in-residence with Chashama at the Brooklyn Army Terminal. I have been working in encaustic for the past few years, but am usually trying out a couple of different art making media at once. Peter Everett once called my work kitch, but I don't think it bothers me.
